  1. Hey C3 fam: a couple people have asked me what I’ve done differently from the time I arrived at C3 (one month ago) and now. I think it’s a combo of 3 things, but I figure that I should share:

    1. I came to C3 after a 3 month CF hiatus and 7lbs heavier than i prefer to be.
    2. When I started at C3, I also started back to eating only meats, veggies and a smidge of fruit. No sugar, no bread, no rice. ONLY meat, veggies, 1 fruit a day. And I feel great BTW.
    3. I get 8 hours of sleep every night (this is not intentional, but more so due to a lack of social life)
    4. Brent told me one day that I am not trying hard enough. It was true.

With that being said. I encourage you all to try moving your diet around. Find some processed, carby, sugary things that you can realistically live without and see how it affects your performance. Coke Zero will forever be my best friend…but the rest I was able to let go of. Google search has Paleo recipes up the wazoo and they are uber delicious. I am not a cook by any means, but the recipes are easy to do, it’s finding the ingredients that’s challenging.

My favorite user-friendly Paleo sites are http://www.mrspaleo.com and http://www.nomnompaleo.com.

If you have any questions…by all means, please ask!

Cait, do you add fats? I thought we were supposed to be eating healthy fats also? Thanks for the tips! 🙂

    1. absolutely. I use coconut oil and organic butter (you can go as far as making Ghee from butter, but i’m not that motivated) for cooking and coconut milk as well, avocado, almond butter, walnuts, pecans, macadamias or almonds are a delicious treat (all unsalted).
