I started my CrossFit journey in 2015. I had just recovered from a stress fracture and my mom told me I should try it out because she had heard there was a lot of gymnastics involved in CrossFit. After my first day, I fell in love instantly. I was a competitive gymnast for 13 years and then started running cross country and track when I retired from gymnastics. I ran in high school and for Young Harris College, where I got my B.S in Biology and Minor in Sport Studies. I am now at UGA for graduate school to get my Masters in Kinesiology. I have been coaching CrossFit for over two years now, and I have also coached recreational and team gymnastics. I love CrossFit for the challenge and variety it provides, including gymnastics, lifting, and cardio. But what I love most is the community; I love being part of a team and a family!
I was first introduced to CrossFit in 2012 and have been in and out of it ever since.
I have a B.S. and M.A. from UGA and am a NASM and CF-L1 trainer. I have been in the group fitness and personal training scene for over a decade. I live here in Athens with my husband, Andrew, and our two kids (age 5 and 7). I really enjoy helping athletes of all ages learn to lift and build functional strength that translates into a better quality of life overall.
I came to Georgia Strength for the unparalleled coaching and programming, and I am excited to be a part of cultivating the community. I see what is being built here, and I want to be a part of continuing to grow and develop it. CrossFit is for everyone!
Palmer was born and raised in Hahira, Georgia. A lifelong multi-sport athlete, he fulfilled his dream of playing football here at UGA. After his football career was over, he picked up CrossFit and fell in love with not only the evolving challenges of the sport of fitness, but the people, the community, and the progressive training. He is studying Civil engineering here at UGA. When he's not studying or working out, he loves hiking with his yellow lab, Junior.
Celeste has been an avid CrossFitter since 2015. She grew up swimming competitively through high school, and once her career was over, stayed involved with the sport by teaching people of all ages and ability levels how to swim.
Once she discovered CrossFit, she carried her passion for competing and teaching into the gym.
When she's not training or coaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 15 years and her two teenage daughters. After seeing the impact that CrossFit had on her life, both physically and mentally, she was eager to share her experience and knowledge with others.
